Check and adjust fuel injection pressure and atomizing condition of nozzles

Perform these operations to maintain compliance with EPA Diesel Exhaust Emission regulations.

CHECK AND ADJUST FUEL INJECTION PRESSURE AND ATOMIZING CONDITION OF NOZZLES

To prevent improper adjustment by untrained personnel, load and speed control screws have tamper-proof caps.;

Check operation of brake master cylinder, check for oil leakage, damage and wear

Check operation of wheel cylinders, check for oil leakage, damage and wear

Check operation of brake drum, check for damage and wear

Check operating condition of brake shoes

Check brake adjustment lever and ratchet for wear and damage

Check brake springs for deterioration

Check brake back plates for deformation and cracking, check mounting condition

Check air tightness of brake piping/tubing

Change oil in engine oil pan and replace engine oil filter cartridge (gasoline engine)

Drain plug removed and oil drained

Specified amount of Komatsu Forklift engine oil added

Oil level checked with the dipstick

Oil filter cartridge removed with a filter wrench

Filter holder on the engine cleaned

Threads on the holder and the seal on the new filter coated with clean engine oil

32.1 REPLACING FUSES AND RELAYS 32.1.1 CHASSIS FUSES (ALL TRUCKS) NOTICE:

• When replacing the fuses, always turn OFF the electric power first (turn the starting switch to the OFF position).

• Always replace the fuses with a fuse of the same capacity.

The CHASSIS fuses are used to protect the electrical components and wiring from burning out and are located in a fusebox located to the left of the steering column and below the dashboard panel of dials and gauges.

1. Turn the starting switch to the OFF position.

2. Open the cover of the fuse box and replace necessary fuses inside. To remove the cover from the fuse box, push the side face of the cover lightly with your fingers and pull it out.

The fuse number in the tables below correspond from right to left in the illustration. Check the relationship between the fuses and the electrical components when replacing.

K21 AND K25 ENGINES ONLY (BX GAS AND LP TRUCKS)

Check wheel rims for deformation, cracking and damage

Check wheel bearings for play and abnormal noise

Check hydraulic cylinders for looseness, deformation, cracking, damage and wear

Check all piping/tubing/connectors for oil leakage, deformation or damage

Check operation of hydraulic cylinders

Check hydraulic drift of lift cylinder

Check hydraulic drift of tilt cylinders

Check movement of work equipment control lever(s)

Check forks and fork stopper for deformation, cracking, damage and wear
