Wearing gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses?

Dust mask employed as required?

Quenching cloth and fire extinguisher available?

Refrigeration system properly secured?

Power supply turned off at disconnect/breaker and Lock-Out tag installed?

Voltage tested with multi-meter prior to performing service?

Primary Cleaning – Remove Gross Debris – Dry Coil

Warning: Ensure the power is off before starting the inspection.

Check if the electrical power disconnect switch is in the “OFF” position.

Check if all power to the unit is off from the source.

Inspect electrical connections and tighten if required.

During the unit startup phase, check the fans for the correct rotation.

Check if the fans are pushing the air into the coil surface.

If the fans are pushing the air into the coil surface, the fans are rotating in the wrong direction and the motor wiring needs to be corrected.
