18 Monthly Actuator Lubrication
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

If the actuator is not correctly lubricated, report the issues to the maintenance team and stop the procedure
Enter the number of cycles since last inspection
Is the Worm and the Worm Gear totally immersed in grease?
Describe the quality of the lubricant
Is the lubricant free of dirt, water or other foreign matter?
If foreign matter is found, follow these steps:
Flush the actuator with a commercial degreaser/cleaner
Stem Nut Replacement
This section is only applicable to thrust base applications.
WARNING: Possible Hazardous Voltage. Turn power OFF before disassembling or removing the actuator from the mounting base. This will prevent accidental start-up during service to the unit.
WARNING: Potential High-Pressure Vessel. Before removing or disassembling the actuator, ensure that the valve or other actuated device is isolated and not under pressure.
CAUTION: The L120-10 through 40 thrust base contains lubrication. Ensure that EP-00 is replaced when reassembling thrust base.
NOTE: Installation and retention of O-rings and quad rings can be eased by applying a small quantity of EP grease to the ring during assembly.
Disconnect all incoming power to the actuator.
Remove actuator from the valve.
Remove Seal Retainer (piece 102 of Figure 6.2) followed by stem nut, bearings, and seals.
Check the fit of the new stem nut on the valve stem - ensure that the nut travels freely without binding.
