DO Bonded Membrane Cap Replacement
Important Note: Do not touch the membrane as skin oils will interfere with the oxygen permeability rate of the membrane. Use caution when replacing the bonded cap.
Preparation
Is the electrode attached to the meter?
Removing the Old Bonded Cap
Unscrew the bonded cap counter-clockwise from the electrode.
Discard the used cap.
Cleaning the Electrode
Rinse the old electrolyte solution from the Cathode and Anode.
Use the supplied Polishing Strips to clean the cathode.
Battery Replacement
Twist off the battery compartment cover
Remove the battery carrier
Replace the four (4) CR2032 batteries observing proper polarity
Reattach the battery compartment cap and tighten securely
Electrode Replacement
Electrode Removal
Turn the instrument OFF
Unscrew and remove the electrode retaining collar (turn counter-clockwise)
Gently rock the electrode from side to side and pull it away from the meter until it disconnects
Electrode Attachment
Align the positioning keys on the electrode and the main body housing
Carefully push the electrode into the meter socket until fully seated
Tighten the electrode retaining collar firmly to seal the electrode with the meter
Dissolved Oxygen Meter Calibration
Calibration should be performed on a daily basis
Meter Preparation
Turn the meter ON
Press and hold the MODE/HOLD button until % is displayed on the LCD
Electrode Preparation
Allow the electrode to fully polarize until readings are stable
Place the electrode cap onto the electrode with moistened sponge
Ensure the electrode membrane is clean and dry
