Cover, Impeller, & Diffuser Removal

Unthread the diffuser cover (item 19 or 20) by turning it clockwise (left-hand thread).

Unthread the impeller (item 18) by turning it counter clockwise (right hand thread) while holding the coupling insert and coupling (items 1 & 2).

Did the shaft unthread from the coupling?

If yes, use pliers to hold the bottom of the shaft just above the impeller.

Is the pump length between 40” to 72”?

If yes, ensure two people are available to hold the shaft and unthread the impeller.

Tap the bottom of the shaft on a piece of wood or plastic and push the shaft up and out of the head (item 7).

Install a new seal (item 4) into the head (item 7) using a 7/16” (12 mm) dowel.

Was a compatible lubricant or water used on the seal before installation?

Inner Tube & Center Support Installation

Reinstall the inner tube and center support (items 12 & 13) with a slight twisting motion.

Was a compatible lubricant or water used on the o-rings?

Install the intake tube (item 5) over the inner tube and center support.

Is the intake tube hand tightened into the head (item 7)?
