Measure and record the static pressure using a magnehelic gauge, manometer, or U-tube

Is the pressure less than or equal to 1 inch W.C.?

Ensure the rotor is correctly turning and cleaning the screen if pressure exceeds 1 inch W.C.

Record the air pressure at the start of the blow down cycle

Record the air pressure after ten seconds of the blow down cycle

Is the pressure drop within the normal range (100psi to 60psi)?

Check for adequate or unobstructed air supply if pressure falls from 100psi to 40psi.

Spray the filter screen with an engine degreaser like GUNK

Allow the degreaser to soak as per the instructions for cleaning an auto engine

Spray clean the filter screen with water

Wash polyester screens in wash cycle after degreasing and rinsing

Operate one dryer without a load to blow hot air through the filter to dry it

Restart the dryer and check if operation is normal

Access the fire sensor through the inspection door

Heat the fire sensor with a non-flammable source (e.g., heat lamp)

Did the sensor close contacts and initiate the audible tone?

Did the sensor illuminate the light?

Did the sensor open the water solenoid valve?

Verify that the push button in the control tests other components of the fire suppression system
