Ensure On/Off switch is in the OFF position.

Remove air compressor plug from outlet.

Allow air compressor to cool down before starting service.

The air compressor flywheel and motor pulley must be in-line (in the same plane) within 1/16\ (1.6 mm) to ensure belt retention within flywheel belt grooves."

Place a straightedge (U) against the outside of the flywheel (R) and the motor drive pulley (S).

Measure the distance between the edge of the belt (T) and the straightedge at points A1 and A2 in Figure. The difference between mea­sure­ments should be no more than 1/16\ (1.6 mm)."

Remove six belt guard mounting screws (two on the pump head and four on the deck)

Scribe a mark at the base of the pump on the deck to be used as a reference.

Loosen four pump mounting nuts.
