Ensure the hose assembly/expansion joint is disconnected from the system

Verify that the cleaning agents are suitable for the hose material

Select the cleaning method to be used

Is the selected cleaning method compatible with the hose components?

Avoid using steam lances for cleaning

Inspect the hose assembly/expansion joint for any damage post-cleaning

Ensure natural position and movement of the hose is not obstructed

Verify hose assemblies are not exposed to strain by tension, torsion, or compression unless designed for it

Observe minimum bending radius of hoses as specified by the manufacturer

Protect hoses from kinking, especially at the joint end

Protect hose assemblies and expansion joints from external mechanical, thermal, or chemical damage

Ensure non-operational expansion joints are protected against strain, abrasion, movement, temperature, and ozone
