Check that all connections are secure

Inspect for corrosion, leaks, and damage

Inspect cooling water pipelines and connections for corrosion, leaks, and damage

Inspect electrical supply cables for damage

Inspect vacuum pipelines for corrosion and damage

Ensure the EH pump is switched off and isolated from the electrical supply.

Vent the EH pump to atmospheric pressure.

Verify that the EH pump is isolated from the electrical supply and vented to atmospheric pressure.

Refer to Figure 10 and remove the four plastic cover caps from the bearing end cover.

Undo and remove the socket-head screws located under the four plastic cover caps.

Remove the end cover and O-ring. Dispose of the O-ring safely.

Ensure the correct grade of oil is used and oil levels are correct.

Ensure pump internals are cleaned if converting from hydrocarbon to PFPE oil.

Switch off the EH pump, vent it to atmospheric pressure and allow it to cool.

Remove the hydrokinetic drive/gearbox oil filler plug.

Remove the hydrokinetic drive/gearbox oil drain plug and allow oil to drain into a suitable container.

Remove the shaft seal vented oil filler plug and use a suitable pump to suck the oil out of the shaft seal reservoir.

Refit the hydrokinetic drive/gearbox oil drain plug.

!WARNING: Ensure correct oil grade and levels

Vent the pump to atmospheric pressure

Check the hydrokinetic drive/gearbox oil level
