Is the UPS connected to utility power?

Enter the battery recharge date from the shipping carton label

Sign off on the battery service

Warning: Ensure the UPS is turned off and unplugged before starting the procedure

Removed and retained the two screws holding the internal battery connector. Disconnected the internal battery connector

Removed and retained the two screws holding the battery cover plate. Removed and retained the battery cover plate

Pulled the handle on the battery tray and slid the battery package slowly out onto a flat, stable surface

Slid the new battery package into the cabinet. Pushed the battery package in firmly

Replaced the battery cover plate into the slots at left, threaded the battery connector through the access slot. Reinstalled the retained screws

Reconnected the internal battery connector. Connected red to red, and black to black. Pressed the two parts tightly together to ensure a proper connection

Placed the connector between the screw mounts and reinstalled the retained screws

Ensure the UPS is plugged into a power outlet for 48 hours to charge the batteries

Press any button to activate the menu option

Select CONTROL then START BATTERY TEST

The UPS starts a battery test if the batteries are fully charged, the UPS is in Normal mode with no active alarms, and the bypass voltage is acceptable

During the battery test, the UPS transfers to Battery mode and discharges the batteries for 25 seconds. The front panel displays “Battery test running” and the percentage of the test completed
