Never lift the balance by the weighing pan as this may cause damage to internal mechanisms.

Always lift and transport the balance by its base.

Disconnect the balance AC adapter from the power source prior to cleaning.

Ensure no liquids enter the balance housing.

Avoid using aggressive cleaning agents such as cleansers.

Use a mild detergent for cleaning.

Disassemble the Pan Assembly and clean the following parts separately, then reassemble.

Is the AC adapter functioning properly?

Has the AC adapter been stored under unfavorable conditions for a long period?

Is there any indication that safe operation is no longer warranted?

Turn off power and disconnect from the AC power source if unsafe
