Warning: This cleaning procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Inspect for cleanliness or damage

Check a small test area first to ensure it does not mar the surface

Clean all surfaces using a soft cloth, sponge, or soft natural bristle brush

Rinse cleaned surfaces well with fresh water

INFO: A mixture of 25% bleach and 75% warm water can also be used on “white” powder coat to brighten the finish

Lightly scrub with a soft bristle brush

Rinse cleaned surfaces well with fresh water. Make sure no other items come into contact with the bleach

Enter the number of hours since the last cleaning

Check the retractable noses, divert rails, and merges for damage and wear

Upload a photo of the replaced parts

Install the pin sensor and connect it to the cable

Install the slat sensor and connect it to the cable

Enter the gap between the slat sensor cover and the slat

Set the sorter to run at 20 percent of maximum operating speed and start the sorter

Inspect the divert assemblies for cleanliness

Remove slats from the sorter to create a maintenance window

Jog the sorter to access the divert assemblies

Remove debris from the switches, divert rails, and merges

Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe clean the bearing path through the switches, divert rails, and merges

Sign off on the cleaning procedure

Three slats removed from the sorter to create a maintenance window on the charge bed

Dried, loose debris removed from the ESD brush with compressed air

Brush assembly position marked on its bracket

Brush thoroughly cleaned using water and dish detergent

Brush thoroughly dried and replaced on the bracket

Inspect the link ESD brushes for damage and wear

Did you find any damage or wear?

If damage or wear is found, replace ESD brushes

Inspect the slat ESD brush for proper contact

If issues are found, adjust the slat ESD brush
