Remove all packing material including foam wrap and poly bag

Replace the poly bag after examination if desired

Examine chair surfaces for damage

Operate all chair functions and options

Ensure the following fasteners are secure

Inspect the plastic buttons on top of each latch mount for wear

Are any plastic buttons worn and need replacement?

Describe any issues found during the inspection

Replace worn plastic buttons to prevent damage to vinyl covers

Move the chair to access the back of the chair

Sit in the chair and actuate it several times to become aware of the “ease of actuation”

Open or turn back the mechlok assembly covers

Locate the fastener at the top of the mechlok assembly

Ensure chair is in a fully upright and securely latched position or a fully reclined position.

Unplug the chair from the outlet before cleaning or maintenance.

Ensure no occupant is in the chair during cleaning or maintenance.

Begin cleaning with a non-abrasive, all-purpose household cleaner using a soft cloth or damp sponge.

Use a solvent type cleaner with a soft bristle brush or soft cloth at full strength.

Rinse with clean water and pat dry.
