Enter the current hours of the ACx 600 intermediate circuit

Check if the frequency converter loading is within acceptable limits

Check if the ambient temperature is within acceptable limits

Is there a mains fuse failure or a Fault trip?

If capacitor failure is suspected, contact ABB. Do not attempt operation with non-ABB specified spare parts.

Upload a photo of the suspected faulty capacitor

Reform (re-age) spare part capacitors once a year according to ACS 600 Capacitor Reforming Guide (code: 64059629).

Sign off on the capacitor replacement procedure

Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

If heatsink fins have dust, proceed with the cleaning procedure

If using compressed air, ensure the installation is taken apart and cleaning is carried out in another room or outdoors.

Fan rotation prevented during cleaning?

Sign off on the heatsink cleaning

Warning: Only trained personnel should perform this procedure

Enter the current usage hours of the ACx 601 unit

Is there increasing noise from fan bearings?

Is there a gradual rise in the heatsink temperature despite cleaning?

Is the frequency converter operated in a critical part of a process?

If the above checks indicate fan failure, proceed with fan replacement

Fan can be withdrawn by removing the bottom of the frame

Replacement fans are available from ABB. Do not attempt operation with other than ABB specified spare parts
