Replace Oil in Temperature Control Unit (TCU)
This procedure outlines the steps to safely replace the oil in a Temperature Control Unit (TCU) on a yearly basis. It includes safety measures, draining and filling the unit with the correct fluid, checking for leaks, and cleaning up after the procedure.
Ensure that Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed to ensure safety.
Drain and Fill Fluid
Ensure the fluid is completely drained into a suitable container for disposal.
Select the correct fluid for filling the TCU
Ensure the TCU is filled with the correct type of fluid as per the unit's requirements.
Post Maintenance Check
Turn on the TCU to ensure it is operational.
Check for leaks
Inspect the unit for any leaks after powering it on.
Cleanup
