Konig Swing Chains Monthly Preventive Maintenance

Check chain tension of the swings chains (1) and re-tension if necessary

• Oil the swing chains (1). For lubricants see Chapter 11.4.1.1 Swings chains.

• Lubricate all pedestal bearings on the operating and drive side of the lubricating nipple (4). For lubricants see Chapter 11.4.1.3 Bearings, guides, racks, spindles.

• Turn the spindle (2) on the two opposite chain tensioners (3) on the operating side and the drive side in small steps.

The swings chain (1) must be tensioned to the same extent on the two opposite chain tensioners on the operating side and the drive side. Do not tension the chain as far as the stop: Observe a clearance of at least 3 mm!
