Equipment Inspection - Schnell Evo Auto Bender (N7)
This procedure outlines the required inspection steps for the Schnell Evo Auto Bender (N7). The technician performs safety, cleanliness, and mechanical checks to ensure all components—such as pins, rollers, guards, switches, and winch assemblies—are in proper working condition. Completing this inspection helps maintain safe operation, prevent equipment failures, and ensure consistent machine performance.
Equipment Inspection - Schnell Evo Auto Bender (N7)
Date of Inspection
Prior to beginning inspection, machine must be turned off (make sure to release any stored energy)
General exterior cleaning
Remove mill slag off the machine (outside)
Ensure all warning lights and straighteners are clean
Mandrel and bending pin check
Central pin/bending pin check
Check for any loose bolts or parts
Check that all emergency stops, foot pedal and limit switches are in good working condition
Check that all guards are in place
Check for normal operation before bending steel
Inspect the winch cable for any damage (Fraying)
Check carabiner for damage (attached to winch cable)
General housekeeping of workstation (make sure walking area around machine is clear to prevent slip/trip hazards
Work area clear of hazards and all guards are in place
Use scotch pad to scrub inside mandrel and then vacuum out loose material
Carefully clean bending pins - inside hole where they are installed. Check gripper is in good condition with no damage or broken fingers
Open doors and open the rollers, check for wear or damage. Make sure they all spin freely, clean if necessary
