This procedure outlines the steps for performing an annual oil change on a gearbox, including safety checks, preparation, cleaning, oil draining and refilling, and post-maintenance cleanup.

    Pre-maintenance Safety Checks

    Preparation

    Gearbox Cleaning

    This is to prevent contamination of gearbox when plugs are removed.

    Oil Draining and Refilling

    Ensure that oil is not drained onto the ground.

    Allow the oil to completely drain from the gearbox.

    Post-maintenance Cleanup

    Oil dry does NOT go into trash.
