Lantech bi-annual inspection

This procedure describes the necessary steps of the bi-annual inspection and cleaning processes of the Lantech Wrapper. Preventive maintenance helps ensure it works well, lasts longer, and doesn't break down unexpectedly.

    Lantech Wrapper Lock Out Tag Out Procedure

    This procedure outlines the steps necessary to safely lock out and tag out the Lantech Wrapper to prevent injury from unexpected energization or release of stored energy during maintenance. It includes authorization, preparation, lock out, verification, and returning the machine to service.

    Preparation and Notification

    Identify sources of energy and Air pressure in relation to the maintenance task

    Notify all machine operators about the lockout

    Lock Out Procedure

    Wait for electricity to discharge (in minutes)

    Wait 5 minutes for electricity to discharge.

    Verification

    Verify the machine will not start up with an e-stop pressed

    Returning Machine to Service

    Main panel visual inspection

    Inspect panel for wear, ensure knobs are secure and tight.(set screws)

    Ensure interlock is functioning as designed, hardware is torqued and tight and gate locks, and locks.

    Inspect limit switches for wear and play, ensure all hardware is torqued, electrical connections secure and tight.
