Section #1

Agitator – Check roller bar mounting bolts for wear. Replace when agitator bar bushings are replaced. Check agitator to bowl clearances. Check agitator for side to side motion. Check agitator bar bushing for wear

Section #2

Agitator Shaft Bearing - Listen to agitator shaft bearing running under load for any unusual noise or vibration. Check for hotter than normal temperatures of bearing head, shaft and covers. If problems occur, call the Service Department at Shaffer Manufacturing Corp.

Air Conditioning System - Check and clean the air conditioning unit filter

Bowl Mounting - Re-torque all bolts. Inspect all seals for damage or wear. Replace as needed. See Agitator Shaft Bearings and Bowl Mounting Sections. Grease Trunnion Rings (Tilt Bowl mixers only). See Agitator Shaft Bearings and Bowl Mounting Sections.

Canopy - Check flour gate system for excessive wear. Inspect all bowl seals for wear, cracks, cuts and tears. Replace as needed. Check for air line leaks.

Gear Reducer Check oil level and quality of oil. Change contaminated, burned, or waxed oil.

Refrigeration System Check for refrigerant leaks.
