Electrostatic Spray Gun Pressure Relief Procedure

To ensure safety and proper functioning, always release fluid and air pressure from an electrostatic spray gun before cleaning, disassembling, or during stoppage of the job.

Turn OFF (O) the ES On/Off switch.

Engage the trigger lock

Turn off the air bleed valves to the fluid source and gun

Disengage the trigger lock

Trigger the gun into a grounded metal waste container to relive the fluid pressure

Engage the trigger lock

Open the pump drain valve, having a waste container ready to catch the drainage. Leave the pump drain valve open until you are ready to spray again.

If the spray tip or hose is completely clogged or pressure is not fully relieved, slowly loosen the hose end coupling. Now clear the spray tip or hose.
