Remove, clean and inspect all guide rails for pickup. Replace bolts/washers if damaged.
Remove all side-core stops (backstop, springclip dowels, cumsa retainers) and inspect for damage (including bolts)
Remove all side-cores from the moving half.
Using a scouring pad, clean all side-core shutoffs.
Using a cloth, clean any debris from the moving half and side-cores
Inspect and clean the gas vent block if applicable.
Inspect the moving half and side-cores for any defects.
if the answer is "oneOf [Defects found, addressed during PM.]"
What defect(s) were found, and what did you do to address them?
Ejection
Cycle the ejection, holding in both the pull and set positions, checking for leaks.
Cycle the ejection to its set position, and measure the maximum ejector pin step (mm).
Check all ejection/core signals. Make sure they do not activate early.
if the answer is "oneOf [Issues with core signals / early activation. Repaired during PM (do not return tools to production with core signal concerns)]"
What was the issue, and what did you do to fix it?
Moving half (re-assembly)
Grease all drafted surfaces (e.g. where sidecore shuts off) with Hasco A7002 if applicable.
Put side-cores back into tool with greased guide rails. Do not overtighten - core should be able to move forward and backward by hand.
Re-fit side-core stops (backstops, springclip dowels, cumsa retainers)
