Completing these steps reduces cold-start issues and prevents damage during storage.
Change fuel filter.
Change/clean air filter
Remove fuel tank and clean if needed
Check pull rope for fraying and make sure length of rope is sufficient. Replace if needed
Change spark plug
remove sediment bowls from fuel shut off valve and clean
Remove bowl from carburetor and clean.
Change oil in unit.
Check tires and replace if unit has them.
Note corrective repairs made.
