6 Monthly Bag House Inspection

This procedure outlines the steps for a 6 Monthly inspection of the Bag House, including pre-inspection safety checks, visual and operational checks, compressed air system inspection, drum and material handling, general inspection, and post-inspection documentation.

    Visual and Operational Checks

    Check for any visual alarms on top of cabinet

    Record Differential Pressure (dp) from magnehelic gauge

    Inspect and record Hopper Temperatures

    Inspect and Ensure Hopper heating element is working correctly

    Trigger the pulse valves are controlled to fire when DP reaches the high set point, and turn off when DP reaches low set point. To trigger the firing, move the upper set point (red) needle on the magnehelic down to below the black needle, after pulse firing is proven, move the set point needle back to its original position.

    Inspect Ash Drum connection to Bag House sealing to drum. Rain can run down the side of the Bag House, and the suction can draw water into Bag House causing damage. Check for holes in lid. Additional plastic may be required.
