Reclaim Line 007-Shredder PM (Blade Change)

Installing new or rotating cutter blades on the WEIMA shredder is important to maintain optimal cutting efficiency, reduce strain on the motor, and ensure consistent material size output. Sharp, properly positioned blades also help prevent jams, minimize downtime, and extend the overall lifespan of the machine.

PURPOSE OF THIS PM IS TO INSTALL NEW OR ROTATE CUTTER BLADES ON THE WEIMA SHREDDER FOR RECLAIM LINE 007 AND CHECK THE CONDITION OF THE SHREDDER SCREEN.

WHEN LOOSENING BLADE BOLTS, USE ALLEN WRENCH ONLY, WHETHER A SINGLE OR ON A RATCHET, DO NOT USE AN IMPACT AS IT HAS A TENDENCY TO STRIP BOLT HEAD OUT. IF NECESSARY, USE HEAT TO BREAK PLASTIC CONNECTION.

ONCE A ROW OF KNIVES AND NIPS ARE REPLACED, SLOWLY ROTATE ROTOR IN OPERATING DIRECTION ONLY TO VERIFY THE KNIVES DO NOT HIT BED KNIVES, IF CONTACT IS NOTICED, ADJUST BLADE TO WHERE NO CONTACT IS NOTICED AND ROTOR TURNS TO NEXT ROW OF BLADES.

CONTINUE UNTIL ALL 52 BLADES AND 4 BROACHING KNIVES ARE EITHER REPLACED OR TURNED. ONCE ALL KNIVES ARE ROTATED OR REPLACED, ROTATE ROTOR MANUALLY A FEW TIMES, ROTATE BACKWARDS FIRST IF NOTHING HITS, ROTATE FORWARD,, LISTENING FOR ANY HITTING. ADJUST AS REQUIRED.

REMOVE ALL TOOLS, OLD KNIVES, BOLTS, ETC., BEFORE LEAVING GRINDER. DO NOT WANT ANY DEBRIS LEFT IN THAT WILL DAMAGE NEW BLADES.
