Weekly Safety Shower and Eyewash Inspection
This procedure outlines the steps for conducting a weekly inspection of safety showers and eyewash stations across various locations. Each section corresponds to a specific station, ensuring that all necessary checks are performed to maintain safety and functionality.
Office Building Safety Shower and Eyewash Station
Ensure access is unobstructed.
Check the shower for visual damage or corrosion.
Check the shut off valve for leaks or damage.
Turn on shower and eyewash station ensure sufficient amount of water is being expelled.
Check protective nozzle covers are properly positioned, clean and intact.
Acid Transfer Station Safety Shower and Eyewash Station
Ensure access is unobstructed.
Check the shower for visual damage or corrosion.
Check the shut off valve for leaks or damage.
Turn on shower and eyewash station ensure sufficient amount of water is being expelled.
Check protective nozzle covers are properly positioned, clean and intact.
Outside of Acid Filtration Safety Shower and Eyewash Station
Ensure access is unobstructed.
