Custom Guillotine Weekly Preventive Maintenance
This procedure ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the custom guillotine. Tasks include cleaning all accessible surfaces to remove debris, dust, and material build-up; inspecting blades for wear, damage, or dullness; checking all safety guards, interlocks, and sensors for proper function; lubricating moving parts according to the manufacturer’s specifications; verifying alignment and calibration of cutting mechanisms; tightening loose fasteners; and testing emergency stop functions. Any abnormal noise, vibration, or performance issue must be reported and addressed immediately to prevent damage or safety hazards.

Check all bearings, tighten set screws, replace as required
Check Hydraulic Reservoir levels, fill as require.

VERIFY POSITION/OPERATION OF PROXIMITY AND LIMIT SWITCHES
CHECK PIN ON HYDRAULIC CYLINDER, REPAIR AS REQ
CHECK THAT CLEVIS ON BLADE IS TIGHT, REPAIR AS REQ
CHECK CONDITION OF BLADE, CHANGE AS REQ
VERIFY CUT DEPTH, ADJUST AS NECESSARY
CHECK SHAFT LOCKING SYSTEM FOR WEAR, REPAIR AS REQ
