This procedure outlines the steps for rebuilding a water jet nozzle, including preparation, handling and inspection of orifices, cleaning of the nozzle, reassembly, and documentation.

    Preparation

    Orifice Handling

    Ensure correct placement of orifices

    Track hours of each orifice

    Orifice Inspection

    Check for metal shards inside orifices

    Inspect bottom side of orifice for cracks or chips

    Nozzle Cleaning

    Reassembly

    Place orifices back in correct spot

    Torque screws down to 12 PSF

    Documentation

    Record name, date, hours for the orifice, and hours for the nozzle
