Machine Observation
Perform LOTO in accordance with the LOTO Risk Assessment.
Inspect and clean all old grease away from both front hinges: Grease hinge points until grease begins to seep out. (Kendall L-427 EP #2 Lithium) You should not witness noise coming from hinges during the extraction. Make sure both tilt hinges are adjusted properly : If adjustment is necessary loosen the lock nut with a 1-5/8 in. wrench and adjust the bolt with a 1-15/16 wrench adjust left and right equally about 1/4 turn at a time. There should not be any play between hinge disc and the bolt hinge Points
Check hydraulic pivot points and if grease fitting present inject grease (typically 4 total fittings, vary by machine model). Grease fittings are normally located on top and bottom of pivot points; clean/wipe any excessive grease. Inject grease until grease is present. Grease used should be the same as used in the bearings (EP 2 lithium grease - recommended Kendall blue color grease)
