This procedure ensures that the Lennox EL18KCV unit undergoes regular inspection and maintenance covering refrigerant levels, coil condition, electrical connections, fan operation, and system controls, maintaining optimal heating and cooling efficiency, preventing performance degradation, and extending the operational lifespan of the unit through structured and thoroughly documented preventive maintenance practices.
Outdoor Unit Maintenance
Inspect outdoor unit fan motor for lubrication needs (factory-lubricated and sealed)
Visually inspect all connecting lines, joints, and coils for oil leaks
Check for correct voltage at unit (unit operating)
Check amp draw on outdoor fan motor
Inspect and clean drain holes in coil compartment base if necessary
Outdoor Coil Maintenance
Inspect outdoor coil for exposure to corrosive substances or airflow blockages
Inspect outdoor coil for salt corrosion if located in coastal area
Indoor Unit Maintenance
Inspect Lennox blower motors for lubrication needs (factory-lubricated and sealed)
Check all wiring for loose connections
Check for correct voltage at unit (blower operating)
Check amp draw on blower motor
Indoor Coil Maintenance
Check connecting lines, joints, and coil for oil leaks
Check and clean condensate line if necessary
