Changeover Checklist

Pre changeover- Do this before you start changeover

• Set/confirm home locations from previous bag on line

• Set/Confirm setup info for previous bag on setup sheet (see link below)

• Confirm you have tools needed for changeover

COM-Line Material

• Receive Job packet and confirm if material is the same/different

• Order material with Kanban card- Add "Changeover" on card

• Have teammate purge spouts/film on line if different.

• Advise lead of material change so lead can move materials in inventory

• Purge labels from previous run to old job packet and give packet to leader

COM-Line Prep (While waiting for material)

• Determine if seal head and punch need to be changed- See seal head and punch cheat sheet

• If changing seal head turn off gland unit to cool seal head off for safe change

• Determine and set temperatures for cross seal and side seals See temperature cheat sheet (see A3)

• Adjust Dwell if needed (determined based on how many rolls and how thick the film is) See Temp and Dwell cheat sheet

• Move spreaders back to allow for new film transition

• Determine if capping or tubing units need to be added or removed

• Prep teflon cartridges for later use in changeover

• Change Perforation Blade - Note: Only change Blade if required within Criteria: *"Last Run Before Change Over" is more than 2 layers of film. *Or IF the line has exceeded 3 or more Change Overs with no blade exchange.

• Review rubber pad at Spout Seal station: exchange if needed, change Teflon on lower Rubber Pad

COM-New Material

• Ensure ALL material from previous job is removed

• Add all new job material labels to line clips

• Have support team member fill hoppers with spouts/caps/tubes (see BMS)

• Put new film on line- Splice well to prevent split

• Adjust film sensors to home location of new material

• Lift center blade to prevent blade breaking

• Jog film through line until all red tape is through

COM-Machine Adjustments

• Measure film on delivery belt to ensure it is centered- If not move unwind sensors to ensure even on both sides

• Review BMS for bag specs

• Adjust side seals according to BMS to general spec

• Change servo length using Servo Length Cheat Sheet

• Cycle machine to check dimensions for target on BMS

• Repeat process until ID Machine Direction and Id Cross Direction is on target( see BMS for targets)

• Check BMS to determine trailing/leading spout.

• Set cross seal to target based on BMS

• Set spout and punch hole to spec on BMS

• Cycle machine once cross seal is set to ensure target is met

• Measure spout to top seal- If not on target repeat process of moving the cross seal

• Set perf to target

• Set top nip rollers(final draw and center draw) to ensure balanced and no contact to spouts

• Adjust and close spreaders

• Adjust Spout track for spout feeding

• Change teflon on A and B side seal heads

• Turn spouts on

• Run 30 cycles and do MO quality check to ensure bag is on target

• If on target move to next step

• Call teammates (MO and Packers to Line)

MO+Packer Packing side prep

• MO prep Production paperwork

• PR-25

• Confirm if single or webbed bag and box or tote packing for potential table change (BMS)

• Confirm boxes/ liners/ slip sheets (BMS)

• Make Boxes

• Fill/change liners

• Make Splice tape

• Remove tools/parts off line (5s all parts and tools) and clean any machine parts and tables to ensure clean run

COM-Quality Qualification

• Use First Article Qualification to ensure all steps are complete- If needed have Maintenance confirm items

• Bring 9 bags each side to quality teammate for Qualification

• Have MO complete FAQ

• Packers prep line

• Once QC confirms bags on target- Start run

• Leader Sign off on FAQ and C/O
