Quarterly Preventive Maintenance - Pre Oven Tenter Track

Check oil in gearbox.

Physically inspect bronze nut and screwbar for damage and wear by attempting to move the screwbar within the nut.

Visually inspect the bronze nut and screwbar for damage or wear. If excessive bronze shavings are present under the nut, remove and disassemble the nut for further inspection.

Grease the two kenyon sprocket bearings, wipe off excess grease feom the fitting and bearing.

Inspect the kenyon sprocket for wear, damage, and aligment.

Inspect the tenter track for loose or missing bolts or any damage.

Clean reflective tape under photoeyes, replace if necessary.

Left Tenter Wing

Check oil in gearbox.

Idle / Support Rollers before Oven

Remove any yarn from rollers and roller shafts.

Inspect roller headers for cracks, or any signs of wear / damage.

Inspect roller shafts for wear in /around the bearing.

Check all bearing set screws, tighten if necessary.

Grease all bearings, wipe excess grease off of grease fitting an bearing.

Follow Lockout / Tagout Procedures.

Wear Appropriate PPE including Fall Protection if required.

Right Tenter Wing
