MSA AltAir iO 4 Calibration

Setup for Calibration

• Unplug gas detector from the charger.

• Turn on gas detector by depressing the " O " button on the right-hand side for approximately 2 seconds.

• Ensure the calibration bottle is fully seated by turning the bottle clockwise.

• Ensure all LED's are on for both the bottle storage and the calibration center.

Calibration

• Ensure gas detector is on and in the main menu.

• With the screen of the meter facing away from you, insert the meter into the calibration base until you hear a click.

• If seated correctly, the calibration will begin automatically and the LED at the base of the station will be blue.

• Once calibration is complete and successful, the LED will turn green and the screen will display "Calibration passed"

• Remove the gas detector by pressing the gray bar and pull the meter towards you.

Reading Results

• Depress the down arrow button on the left side of the gas detector to open the menu.

• Scroll using the down arrow button to the "device info" menu.

• Press the " O " button on the right side of the meter to select the option.

• Ensure the selection arrow is on "Calibration info".

• Verify the Calibration info has correct dates.
