The aim is to ensure that all activities involving the relocation or repositioning of static equipment are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with operational and engineering standards. To be used when Static equipment is been moved to a new location.

MTN 011 Moving static equipment Pre move Checklist

Pre Move

If static equipment needs to be moved, the HACCP team must be consulted to determine if the risk assessment needs to be reviewed. The move must be planned in advance between maintenance, production and QA departments and any additional actions implemented in accordance with instructions from the HACCP team.

As applicable, equipment will be cleaned down prior to or after moving into its new location.

Plan the route which will be taken when moving the equipment. Consider the space required and whether it will be disassembled. If necessary, cordon off the route and make employees aware. Ensure that potential obstacles are removed.

Ensure that the correct resources (people and transporting equipment) are assigned to move the equipment safely. It must not pose a risk to personnel, itself, other equipment or products.

Once the equipment is relocated, and relevant actions have been completed, ensure that the plant maintenance form (MTN 030) is completed.
