The Alexandria Maintenance Checklist is a monthly routine inspection aimed at ensuring the operational efficiency and safety of various equipment and systems within the facility.
In reference to form #2098-120
MIXER AREA
Check gearbox components and drive components
Check belts, listen to bearings, look for oil leaks, verify belt tension, etc.
Check mixer for cleanliness and clean if required
Check condition of ribbons, paddles, pins
Check mixer gate for proper adjustment, build-up, etc.
Adjust and clean if necessary
Change gearbox oil - Yearly
Every February
PELLET MILL SYSTEM
Pull Test (Form 2356)
(Quarterly)
Ensure that all SAFETY devices in the system are working properly
Grease
Check steam harness - leaks, gauges, trap strainers
Check cooler for cleanliness - clean as required
Verify cooler bed oscillating system is functioning properly - check gearbox for leaks, check linkages
Check limit switches and level indicators for proper function and adjustment
Check plenum for deterioration and leaks, correct as necessary
Check cooler is operating properly (while running.) Check pellet bed, air system, cooling effeciency
Inspect screens for cleanliness, holes, replace as needed
Inspect Rumba bushings, verify all fasteners are tight
Clean conditioner

Lockout system
Check motor mounting bolts for tightness
Check roll condition
Bi-annual
Verify all guarding is in place
Check drive belt condition
RECEIVING AREA

Electrical Rooms
Clean and organize MCCs
Change/clean cabinet filters
Check and organize LOTO equipement
Check VFDs for any fault codes
Open and inspect Repete cabinets
Legs
Meter reading to be taken quarterly
Grease drives
Inspect gearboxes for leaks, check belt and pulley alignment, check bearings for excess noise
Grease tails and inspect boot pulleys
Upper Decks
Grease soy tank fill conveyor
Grease North pelleting transfer drag
Grease North meal transfer drag
Boiler
Excercise overpressure valve and check for leaks and chattering
Watch flame sequence through sight glass
Look for issues such as flame instability, poor uniformity, excessive soot build-up, etc.

Over pressure limit shutdown switch, safety valve, front and rear doors
Clean Screens
Overflow Tanks
Grease outside tank fill and reclaim system
Monthly Management Review
Initial when the task is completed. Manager sign-off
