ADJUSTING INFEED FENCE

ADJUSTING SIDE PRESSURE WHEEL FOR INFEED TABLE

The infeed table is equipped with side pressure wheel, which presses wood against wood the fence during feed forward. It ensures a smooth cutting by the cutterhead. To suit various widths of wood, the side pressure wheel should be adjusted to provide a proper pressure. Make the side pressure wheel adjustment according to the following procedures:

• Loosen the side pressure wheel fix lever by turning it counter clockwise, then the entire side pressure wheel assembly can be moved forward and backward.

• Move the side pressure wheel along the base until it touches the side surface of the wood.

• After adjusting, tighten the side pressure wheel fix lever by turning it clockwise.

ADJUSTING THE SAFETY GATE

• The upper safety gates feature synchronized motion. When turning the adjustment lever clockwise, both anti-kickback fingers raise in synchronization for retracting wood.

• When turning the adjustment lever counterclockwise, the safety gate will lower for retracting wood.

ADJUSTING THE TABLE ROLLER

In normal feeding operation, the outside diameter of the table roller should protrude above the table surface by about 0.05~0.1mm. Table Roller Adjustment Procedures:

ADJUSTING AIR PRESSURE

• A filter / regulator / lubricator combination unit is equipped at the right side of the back guard. The pressure gauge on the F.R.L. combination unit indicating the pressure feed rollers is 5kg/cm2. When adjusting the air pressure is required, pull up the pressure regulation knob on the F.R.L. combination unit. Turn the knob until the correct air pressure is indicated. Push down on the pressure regulation knob to fix the air pressure after setting. The air pressure for all feed rollers should be set at two stages. Each stage has an independent pressure valve, provided at the right side of the front guard. The first air pressure should be set within the range of 1.5~3kg/cm2. The second stage should be set within 3~4kg/cm2.

LIMIT SWITCH LAYOUT

• 1) Maximum spindle raising limit switch

• 2) Maximum spindle lowering limit switch

• 3) Maximum beam raising limit switch

• 4) Maximum beam lowering limit switch

• 5) Maximum pressure roller position limit switch

ADJUSTING PRESSURE ROLLER

The pressure rollers can be adjusted upward and downward according to the following procedures:

• Loosen (turn counterclockwise) the pressure roller elevation nut.

• Turn the pressure roller elevation knob clockwise to raise the pressure roller. Turn it counterclockwise to lower the pressure roller.

• After adjustment, tighten (turn clockwise) the pressure roller elevation locknut.

• NOTE: After the pressure rollers have been operated for a long period, the nuts that connect the air cylinder may loosen due to frequent oscillation of the cylinder. The operator is requested to check if the nuts have loosened or not periodically. Tighten them if necessary.

ADJUSTING SPINDLE

After the machine has been operating for a long period, the belt tension may loosen gradually. At this time, it is suggested that the belt tension be adjusted by shifting the belt tension adjustment lever. UP / DOWN ADJUSTMENT:

• The control buttons provided at the right-hand lower side of the machine are used for raising or lowering the spindle.

• Press the ↑ button for raising the spindle. Press the ↓ button for lowering the spindle.

ADJUSTING SPINDLE

After the machine has been operating for a long period, the belt tension may loosen gradually. At this time, it is suggested that the belt tension be adjusted by shifting the belt tension adjustment lever. FORWARD / BACKWARD ADJUSTMENT:

• Loosen the forward/backward position lock lever by using the supplied double open-end wrench. Turn it counterclockwise for loosening.

• Turn the spindle adjustment lever clockwise to move the spindle forward. Turn it counter-clockwise to move the spindle backward.

• After the spindle position has been adjusted, tighten the spindle forward/backward position lock lever by turning it clockwise.
