Daily Hot Water Temp

This procedure outlines the daily check of hot water temperatures at resident-accessible taps (showers and sinks) in the nursing home to prevent scalding and support infection control. It guides the staff member through recording the room number and measured water temperature for each sampled room and reporting any reading outside the safe range (105°F to 120°F / 41°C to 49°C).
