PR 11.3 Calibration Validation Form
This form records caliper validation in accordance with ASME B89.1.14-2018 and ISO 9001:2015 (7.1.5).
Perform validation in a controlled environment at 68°F (20°C) using NIST-traceable reference standards.
“Measurement Points” are verification checks at different lengths across the caliper’s measuring range (not “points on the tool”).
Enter the reference standard value and the caliper reading. The form calculates Error, applies the correct MPE, and returns PASS/FAIL automatically.

OUTSIDE JAW (EXTERNAL) MEASUREMENTS
Outside Jaw Check: Measure NIST-traceable gauge blocks (or certified length standards) using the outside jaws. Complete 5 measurement points across the caliper’s range. The form automatically calculates Error, selects MPE, and returns PASS/FAIL.
Gauge Block Actual (From Lab) - Point 1
Select the Gauge Block Target to be Measured - Use Gauge Block: TSG-GB001 - Targets have been updated here to Reflect the Certified Dimensions
OUTSIDE MEASUREMENT #1 DETAILS
Measured Value - Point 1
Calculate Measured Error
Measured Error is calculated by the following formula : = (Gauge Block Actual (From Lab)) - (Measured Value)
Measurement Point 1 - PASS/FAIL
Acceptance Criteria (ASME B89.1.14-2018): Measured error shall not exceed the manufacturer’s Maximum Permissible Error (MPE): • Tolerance: ±0.001 in
if the answer is "oneOf [FAIL]"
OUTSIDE MEASUREMENT #2 DETAILS
Gauge Block Actual (From Lab) - Point 2
Select the Gauge Block Target to be Measured - Use Gauge Block: TSG-GB001 - Targets have been updated here to Reflect the Certified Dimensions
Measured Value - Point 2
Calculate Measured Error
Measured Error is calculated by the following formula : = (Gauge Block Actual (From Lab)) - (Measured Value)
Measurement Point 2 - PASS/FAIL
Acceptance Criteria (ASME B89.1.14-2018): Measured error shall not exceed the manufacturer’s Maximum Permissible Error (MPE): • Tolerance: ±0.001 in
if the answer is "oneOf [FAIL]"
