Hall Annual Emergency Brake Inspection
This procedure ensures that the emergency braking system on Hall lift equipment is comprehensively evaluated on a yearly basis, verifying actuation response, mechanical condition, stopping force, and overall reliability to guarantee that the system will perform as intended during an emergency stop event and remain in full compliance with aerial lift safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.
Inspect pump for condition and leaks
Remove cover from valve box and inspect components for function and leaks
Inspect hydraulic lines for condition and leaks
Inspect actuating ram for condition/leaks
Inspect pads for condition and wear (Rivets should be countersunk into brake pad)
Inspect condition of all electrical systems/switches, check for function and wear
Provide Lift number below for torque testing

Torque test the emergency brake and state percentage below
if the answer is "< 83 "
if the answer is "> 96 "
if the answer is "= 2 "
Torque test the emergency brake and state percentage below
if the answer is "< 70 "
if the answer is "> 90 "
if the answer is "= 1 "
Torque test the emergency brake and state percentage below
if the answer is "> 94 "
if the answer is "< 81 "
Check hand pump reservoir fluid quantity (If applicable)
Clean brake and lubricate all pivot points (Check zerks and spray pivot points with aerosol lubricant)
