Key Terminology
Opening and closing a valve
Step 1
Shut off main water valve
Main water valve will be the first valve on the pipe coming out of the wall. Please see picture.
Step 2
Drain excess water out of filters
Most locations will have a blue valve with a hose attached directly under. Drain the water until no further water is in the clear drain hose. Please see picture.
Step 3
Remove all 3 filters ( have rags on hand )
Turn the filters half a turn to the left, they will drop out. Have rags and a bucket underneath. Excess water will flow from where the filter sits.
Step 4
Install new filter cartridges
Install new filter cartridges by pressing the new filter up and rotating a half turn to the right until you feel the filter has locked in. Continue until all 3 are securely inserted.
Step 5
Drain new filters
Draining new filters will clean and remove any loose particles inside the filter, thus keeping them from getting into the ice machine. Do this for about 2-3 minutes.
Step 6
Final steps
