Pre-Inspection Preparation
Return Terminal Inspection
Inspect and lubricate bullwheel
Inspect return terminal structure
Inspect accel/decal assemblies
Inspect and verify terminal alignment and grip coupling
Inspect turn around system
Inspect terminal sheaves
Drive Terminal Inspection
Inspect drive line including drive shafts, flexible couplers, and belt and chain couplings
Inspect turn around system
Inspect terminal sheaves
Inspect gear reducer
Inspect and lubricate tower equipment and structure
Check sheave liner wear and condition
Inspect tower foundations, anchor bolts, weep holes, and ground conditions
Check line for clearance and hazard trees & vegetation
Tension System Inspection
Inspect tension system components including cylinders, hoses, fittings, pumps & valves
Verify operation of set points on control unit
Verify carriage travels freely
Brake Systems Inspection
Inspect service brake & bullwheel brake systems including hoses, fittings, cylinders, pads, springs, switches, accumulators, and fluid
Verify all braking systems setup & operations by performing Brake Torque Test
Confirm stopping distance is within required parameters
Grip & Carrier Inspections
Perform NDT & overhaul of grip, carrier, and hanger per ANSI and manufacturers requirements
Visual inspection of all grips, carriers and hangers
Lubricate grips, carriers, and hangers as required
Haul Rope Inspection
Visual inspection of haul rope
Complete MRT inspection per ANSI Annex A.4.1.2
Lubricate haul rope
Oil Analysis
Perform oil analysis on gear reducer, Aux & Evac engines, tension & brake units
Auxiliary & Evacuation Engines Inspection
Verify engine operation
Inspect coupling mechanisms
Inspect hoses, belts, fittings & fluids
Acknowledge completion of all inspections and compliance with applicable standards
