M - Brake Torque Test and Inspection - Mech - All Keystone

Regular brake torque testing and inspection helps verify that brake shoes, disks, springs, and hydraulic systems are in safe working condition, that armature current values are within specified ranges, and that drive-train backstops function correctly. Performing these checks on an unloaded lift reduces the risk of brake failure, improves stopping performance, and supports safe passenger operations.

M - Brake Torque Test and Inspection - Mech - All Keystone

This procedure outlines the steps for conducting a monthly brake torque test and inspection for mechanical brakes, focusing on brake shoe condition, system operation, pressure readings, hydraulic levels, torque test, sensor tests, and stopping distance verification. Testing and inspections must not be performed on a loaded lift.
