Iron Monthly Preventive Maintenance
Regular ironer maintenance will achieve significant improvements in flatwork productivity, standards of finishing and profitability.

All hazardous energy has been isolated using LOTO procedures?
All potential stored or residual energy has been relieved, disconnected, restrained, lowered, and/or otherwise rendered safe?
General Inspection
Observe machine running, watch and listen for abnormal conditions
Check apron tracking and condition. Adjust tracking or create w/o to replace if necessary.
Lock Out Tag Out
LOTO Performed
De-energized cleaning and lubrication
Use compressed air to clean exterior of machine then wipe down with degreaser
Remove gaurds and blow out lint from gears, chains and under machine
Vacuum / Blowout inside control panels including VFD's and cooling fans
Grease bearings. Remove excess grease from fittings and bearings when finished
Check setscrews and lube Chains
Check steam traps and piping for leaks. Create w/o to repair steam components when machine is cool if necessary.
Return Machine to normal operation
Remove LOTO, start machine and ensure proper operation
