The OSHA Stairway Inspections Checklist is used inspecting a stairway with a list of detailed information supporting the safety of its employees. This level of inspection is far beyond what an inspector would do on a general home. The checklist also covers regulations issued by the U.S Department of Labor.

    1910.25(a)This section covers all stairways (including standard, spiral, ship, and alternating tread-type stairs), except for stairs serving floating roof tanks, stairs on scaffolds, stairs designed into machines or equipment, and stairs on self-propelled
