Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Pre-Use Inspection Checklist

By following these checks and in referring to the manufacturers guidelines you are helping to ensure that your machine is in optimal condition and of course doing everything within your power to ensure that it is safe and reliable to use.

    The daily checklist consists of 2 categories, Visual Checks and Operating/ Functional Checks.

    Visual Checks

    Documentation

    Wheel / Tyres

    Engine / Power Source

    Hydraulics

    Hoses and Cables

    Outrigger’s and stabilizers

    Chassis Boom and Scissor Pack

    Platform or Cage (Boom or Scissor)

    Decals and Signage

    Operating/ Functional Checks

    By failing to keep up to date with all the relevant safety checks you are placing yourself, personnel and dependent upon the application, members of the public at a real risk of serious injury. Working at any height is extremely dangerous and it is essential that any machinery that operates is safe.

    In following these checks and in referring to the manufacturers guidelines you are helping to ensure that your machine is in optimal condition and of course doing everything within your power to ensure that it is safe and reliable to use.
