      Spanner Wrench Needed to Remove Pre-Filter Housing

        Step 1

        Shut off main water valve

        Main water valve will be the first valve on the pipe coming out of the wall. Please see picture.

          Step 2

          Drain excess water out of filters

          Most locations will have a blue valve with a hose attached directly under. Drain the water until no further water is in the clear drain hose. Please see picture.

            Step 4

            Install new filter cartridges

            Install new filter cartridge be turning the clear housing to the left. Please keep rag handy as water may splash out. Discard of the old pre filter. Install new cartridge* THERE IS A GASKET ( SEAL ) ON THE INSIDE OF THE CLEAR HOUSING. DO NOT MISPLACE ). Hand tighten the clear housing.

            Step 5

            Drain new filters

            Draining new filters will clean and remove any loose particles inside the filter, thus keeping them from getting into the ice machine. Do this for about 2-3 minutes.

            Final steps
