Site Fire Extinguisher Inspection

Regular fire extinguisher inspections ensure that all extinguishers on-site are fully functional, accessible, and compliant with safety regulations. These inspections help identify damage, low pressure, expired units, or missing equipment before an emergency occurs. They play a vital role in maintaining workplace safety and meeting OSHA/NFPA safety standards.

Verify Accessibility

Ensure the extinguisher is mounted in its designated location.

Confirm it is easy to see and reach, with no obstructions.

Check and verify that signage is up to date.

Check the Physical Condition

Look for dents, corrosion, leaks, or other damage to the cylinder.

Inspect the hose and nozzle for cracks, blockages, or brittleness.

Make sure the pull pin is in place and secured with a tamper seal.

Confirm Pressure Level

Inspect the tank level gauge and verify that the needle is in the green zone.
