Semi-Annual Dryer Fire Suppression Testing

    Document Witnesses Name (Regional Engineer or Regional S& H Coordinator)

    Start the dryer and verify the burner turns on.

    Once the burner turns on turn the dial on the Zytron High Limit Temp Control counterclockwise until the dryer alarms and you see water flow.

    Confirmed water flow and turned the dial on the Zytron High Limit Control clockwise to the max position and reset the controller by pushing in on the reset button on the front of the control.

    Confirm that the burner shut off when the fire suppression system activated.

    Audible and visual alarms activated and are working properly.

    Open the door and test the manual fire suppression valve and confirm that both sprinkler heads are working. As soon as you confirm they are both working, close the valve to prevent any excess water flow into the lint collection system.
