Use this procedure for a successful preventive maintenance program that extends construction equipment life and minimizes unscheduled downtime caused by equipment breakdown.

Document run hours.
completed every 1000 to 2000 hours test drain valve(s) and clean strainer(s).
completed every 1000 to 2000 hours blow out condenser coil(s). Also clean off any dust or debris build up.

First of the month, for units with built-in dryer: Inspect condenser of dryer and clean if necessary. Press the button on top of the electronic water drain (EWD). Clean the filter inside the EWD.
Quarterly first of the month. Remove the air filter element and inspect. Replace damaged or heavily contaminated elements.

Check readings on display, write down any alarms.
Check that condensate is discharged during operation.
Check the pressure dew-point temperature (compressors with integrated dryer).
