This checklist will help you in inspecting these machines at the start of every day, at shift changes and any time a new operator takes over the machine.

As with all heavy equipment, it’s important to inspect and maintain your and boom lifts to ensure they’re running efficiently and improving your productivity. This checklist will help you in inspecting these machines at the start of every day, at shift changes and any time a new operator takes over the machine.

    Overall Cleanliness.

    Placards.

    Operators and Safety Manual.

    Machine Log.

    NOTE: Check boom limit switches on upright for proper operation and security, both visually and manually. Lower switch cuts out drive speed when Lower Boom is above horizontal. Upper switch cuts out drive speed when Upper Boom is above horizontal. Only creep drive speed will continue to function.

    NOTE: On new machines, those recently overhauled, or after changing hydraulic oil, operate all systems a minimum of two complete cycles and recheck oil level in reservoir.
